10DLC Registration
Register your brand and campaigns for SMS compliance with US carrier requirements.
What is 10DLC?
10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) is a system implemented by US wireless carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon) to verify businesses sending text messages. It requires you to register your "brand" (your company) and your "campaign" (what you're texting about) before sending SMS from local 10-digit phone numbers.
Why It's Required
Before 10DLC, carriers had no way to distinguish legitimate business texts from spam. The 10DLC system provides:
• Higher SMS throughput (more messages per second)
• Better deliverability (fewer messages filtered as spam)
• Carrier trust (your messages are less likely to be blocked)
• Compliance with industry regulations
Step 1: Register Your Brand
Go to Settings → 10DLC Registration in CallScaler. Click "Register Brand" and fill out your company information:
• Company name and legal entity type (LLC, Corporation, Sole Proprietor, etc.)
• EIN (Employer Identification Number) — or SSN for sole proprietors
• Business address, city, state, and ZIP code
• Company website
• Contact name, phone, and email
• Business vertical (e.g., Real Estate, Healthcare, Construction)
Brand registration is submitted to The Campaign Registry (TCR) via SignalWire and typically takes 1–3 business days for approval.
Step 2: Create a Campaign
Once your brand is approved, create a campaign. A campaign describes what type of messages you'll be sending:
• Campaign name and use case (e.g., "Customer Care," "Marketing")
• Description of your messaging
• Sample messages (2–5 examples of texts you'll send)
• Opt-in message explaining how recipients agreed to receive texts
Campaign approval typically takes 1–5 business days.
Step 3: Assign Numbers
After your campaign is approved, assign your tracking numbers to it. Go to your campaign in the 10DLC settings and add the numbers you want to use for SMS. Once assigned, those numbers can send text messages with full carrier deliverability.
Registration Status
You can monitor the status of your brand and campaign registration from the 10DLC settings page. Statuses include:
- •Pending — Submitted, awaiting carrier review
- •Approved — Ready to send messages
- •Failed — Registration was rejected (check failure reason for details)
